Meet Nakita!
Why did you join the GirlTrek Movement?
"I have a lot of things I want to do, see and be and I need to be at optimum health to accomplish those things and be the person I know I am. I also think about my unborn children and how I want to be with them when I have them and that motivates me."

I have two goals. I am running the Chicago 5K this September and I am in the process of learning to swim. I will be able to easily swim laps by the end of the year.

I will cross the finish line of the Chicago 5K.
I will be able to easily swim 6 laps by the end of the year.

Chicago 5K - 9/13/09;
Swimming - 12/31/09

I will be following the Couch to 5K plan to train for the race. I'm in the middle of week one, and the program lasts 9 weeks. By then I will have a few weeks left to practice running the 5K before the race. As for swimming, I have an excellent teacher that I have been learning with and I will continue lessons (at least once a week) starting again in July through December and practice at least once a week.

Keeping the motivation and the interest going. I get bored easily.
