"I am reaching 40 years old and in the past few years I have not been making healthy choices. I have gained an excessive amount of weight and want to be a positive role model for my two young daughters ages 7 and 8. It is difficult to encourage a healthy lifestyle when I am not setting the example for them."

I would like to lose 25 pounds; My goal is to become more active and set a weekly work out routine that I can stick with.

I would like to take weekly photos to show my success. I think something that we all can see from week to week will be very motivating.

My training strategy is to gradually increase to a comfortable rate of exercise that I can live with. I also want to make good eating choices and minimize my sugar intake. I would like to start out by walking 20 mintues every other day for the first week. I would like to gradually increase my walking time by five minutes every week unttil I reach 45 minutes to an hour every other day. I will start by planning my workouts and planning meals. I will measure this succees by keeping a schedule and tracking every goal that I reach. I want to get my daughters involved and help them set some goals as well.

Planning the time to walk is a challenge but my biggest challenge is planning meals and sticking with them. I have never been a breakfast eater and am not always hungry in the morning but I know eating breakfast is important to a healthy lifestyle. I also have times where I get so busy I don't stop to eath lunch and end up binging at the end of the day. Therefore, planning meals is my biggest challenge.
