Bud Billiken Parade 2018
Nothing says Back-to-School and family like Chicago’s annual Bud Billiken Parade, one of the nation’s oldest and largest parades. Come march with Team GirlTrek as we participate for the 2nd year, alongside dynamic drill teams, dancers, and floats. Fun for the entire family! For more information please visit https://www.budbillikenparade.org/.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
The parade is a long morning that will start early. Participants are asked to arrive early, so there will be some time spent waiting at the start of the parade route.
Meeting time and location: Participants will meet at 7am at the Oakwood Community Center, 3825 S. Vincennes Ave. (the building will be open as early as 6:30am). Everyone will walk over to the start of the Parade route staging area together. WE ARE REQUIRED TO BE AT THE PARADE STAGING AREA BY 8:15AM. GirlTrek is #82, so we are in the first wave of participants.
WEAR: Your Superhero Blue, of course! All participants must wear an official GirlTrek shirt (any style); black bottoms. Need to order a shirt? Shop HERE: https://shop.girltrek.org
CAPTURE: We love seeing your photos and videos! Please use hashtag #GirlTrek #BacktoBud and #BudBilliken
