How did you hear about GirlTrek?
2. Name Your "Friend-As-Referee"
Over the years we have learned that the best way to stick with a goal is to ask your friend to serve as your referee. Be sure to pick a reliable and trustworthy friend who truly wants to see you succeed. Referees have no formal responsibility to GirlTrek but they usually act as coaches, confidantes, and they hold our trekkers accountable to their commitments. We will check in with your friend occasionally to see how you are doing and to invite her to join you! Many Friends are so inspired that they become trekkers too!

COMMITMENT STATEMENT: " I am making a serious commitment to start walking! My body is a blessing and I will do my best to take care of it. Starting April 4th, I will spend 12 weeks making walking a habit. I will walk briskly, with purpose for 30 minutes, 5 days per week until June 26th. My goal is to break a sweat every time I walk! I will ask my daughter, mentee, friend, family member or co-worker to join this movement, but I will not let their inability to commit hold me back. By making this commitment, I am joining women across the country who are committed to inspiring girls to live healthier, with action - not words. We are GirlTrek on the move.”
