A Walk Through History Where Thriving Seneca Village Once Stood Trek
Seneca Village was located from West 82nd Street to West 88th Street between 7th and 8 avenues from 1825 to 1857 when the construction of Central Park began. We will trek 1 to 2 miles around Central Park on paved walk ways and some steps where Seneca Village once was for 30 minutes. Meet on the side of the park at the intersection of W 81st and Central Park West at 8:53 am 7 minutes early so we can begin promptly at 9 am. We will walk rain or shine. Wear your superhero blue and comfortable walking shoes, bring water and snacks. See you there!
