JOHN MUIR TRAIL HIKE IN VAN CORTLANDT PARK IN HONOR OF NATIONAL TAKE A HIKE DAY
Join us for a thrilling Urban Adventure Hike through Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY over 4 miles of beautiful nature trails! This hike is for beginners and intermediate hikers - all are welcome! We will mostly hike level terrain including gravel, mulch, some paved trails, and some steps.  We are hiking on November 23rd to celebrate National Take A Hike Day (November 17th).  Come share in the history of this trail and the adventures that await you within New York City! An additional wavier is necessary for you to complete on the day of the hike before hiking.  Wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather conditions, ensure to have long pants and long sleeves, bring water and any snacks you may need.  The closest public transportation is the #1 Train to Van Cortlandt Park 242nd Street.  Then a one mile walk (25-30 minutes) or the BX9 Bus to Moshulu Avenue and Broadway.  We will meet on the side of Van Cortlandt Park at the intersection of Moshulu Avenue and Broadway.  Trek code arrive 7 minutes early at 1:53 pm.  Allow yourself enough travel time as public transportation is slower on the weekends.  See you on the trail!
