#GirlTrekSTLDowntown Trek (Walk)
GirlTrek’s Mission is to pioneer a health movement for African-American women and girls grounded in civil rights history and principles through walking campaigns, community leadership, and health advocacy.
Arrive at Citygarden by 8:45 as we will meet at the Pinocchio statue for introductions. The walk will begin promptly at 9am and we walk an hour, approximately 3miles. If you have not taken the GirlTrek pledge text TUBMAN to 22828.
NOTE: GirlTrek is dedicated to the health of Black women and girls. While we appreciate the wonderful men and boys in our lives, this is a female-centered event. Mothers or guardians with small sons may bring them along.
Is there a fee to attend?
No, this is a free event.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is street parking surrounding Citygarden for those driving. If you would like to take the metrolink to Citygarden get off at the 8th & Pine exit then walk 1 block south to 8th & Chestnut.
What should I wear and do I need to bring anything?
Short answer: Nope just yourself.
Longer answer: Wear comfortable shoes and bring water if you would like, be mindful that there are no restrooms along the way. If you’ve got it wear your SUPERHERO blue, it’s how we represent.
