This is the season for traditions, so how about we expand on the GirlTrek Black Family 5K tradition and start a GirlTrek New Orleans tradition?! Let's have an end of season #SuperHeroSaturday celebration, with every neighborhood represented. And, invite everyone! All new trekkers, come find out what we're all about! To all our tried and true trekkers, our OGs, our solo trekkers, come celebrate the end of season, (even those who'll continue to walk all year round,) and party with us at our city-wide Black Family 5K. Bring your friends and family - your Mama 'nem, your aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, your NaNann and your PawRan, bring your man, your besties, and your play cousins - everyone's invited as we celebrate a #30DayRevolution, completing 30 Days of #WeAreHarriet. Come to City Park to give Thanks, again, to celebrate life, to protest shopping! Meet up with ladies you haven't trekked with in a minute, but have been meaning to call. Come out to walk off all that peach cobbler and your Mama's sweet potato pie, (and to maybe make room for a second slice.) Get your whole family out to conquer the "-itis" Come dance and sweat your perm out! We'll have fruit and light snacks, we'll bring the water and GirlTrek swag. Wear your old or new #BlackFamily5K tee, or your regular SuperHero blue - tell your people to throw on their sports tees, Bayou Classic shirts or whatever makes them happy, as long as they're ready for GirlTrek fun!
