Girltrek joins thousands of hikers on trails across the states in celebration of National Take a Hike Day!
On this National Take a Hike Day happening Sunday, November 17th! Join GirlTrek walkers and hike leaders from the Adventure Squad as we explore a hidden gem in New York City, Inwood Hill Park. We will embark on a 2 mile hike at the tip of Manhattan, that will take us on an elevation of 250ft with sweeping views of the Hudson River and New Jersey.
This is a beginner’s hike, designed for active walkers, you should be able to walk for at least one hour at a brisk pace.
A 2 mile hike through Inwood Park. Catch beautiful views of the Hudson and NJ.
What to bring: Lunch (we will have a time to eat during the hike), Ample snacks, At least one/two liters of water, Backpack, Sunscreen
What to wear: Rep your superhero blue!, Dress in layers to adapt to changing temperatures, Comfortable, athletic clothing, preferably non-cotton or jeans, Hiking boots or sturdy sneakers with non-cotton socks, Hat, Waterproof jacket
