This weekend Miami is buzzing with Superbowl LIV excitement! It's that moment when each of the teams will shoot their shot for the championship! We, the SuperHERoes of GirlTrek Overtown know that, 2020 is our Superbowl year for elections and the Census! Our precinct #533 typically has some of the lowest voter turnout rates in the entire county. So first, we will be joining the ladies of the DWC Overtown Omni to canvass in order to raise awareness and help to improve voter engagement & turnout and Census participation. Then we will wrap up our day with the Florida Film House Community day at Dorsey park where we will celebrate and turn all the way up! Bring all of your family and friends! This exciting day is for everyone! So bring your babies, aunties, mamas, sisters, brothers, friends, hubbies...everybody! Because we know--it truly takes a village to create the world we desire and we must pass the torch of power to our future generations.
