Neighborhood Housing Services of Waterbury (N.H.S.W.) GirlTrek walk will be taking place in the City of Waterbury; downtown. Starting from City Hall of Waterbury we will being making our way to Leavenworth street walking to the end of the street. Then, we will take a right onto West Main street walking all the way to the Police Station. Taking a right onto South Elm street the group will walk to the corner of Sacred Heart High School and veer right onto Union Street and proceeded to Grand Street, finishing back at City Hall. The Terrain of the walk is flat with paved sidewalks. The downtown area for the City Of Waterbury has really blossomed with new restaurants, shops, university's and a newly renovated downtown greenery. The distance of walk will be about 1 mile and take an estimated 30 minutes to complete our first victory ! Please bring water or Gatorade to stay hydrated and wear comfortable clothes based off the weather conditions.
