LET'S WALK AWAY FROM HEART DISEASE WITH JESUS FIRST
Its superhero Saturday and we gear up to walk away from heart disease with Jesus First. Heart disease is the # 1 killer of women in the United States. For African American women, the risk of heart disease is especially great. Heart disease is more prevalent among black women than white women—as are some of the factors that increase the risk of developing it, including high blood pressure, overweight and obesity, and diabetes. But there’s good news too: You can take action and lower your chance of developing heart disease and its risk factors. According to the American Heart association women can lower their heart disease risk by as much as 82 percent just by leading a healthy lifestyle. So join us as we walk away from heart disease with Jesus First and bring a friend. Please bring your water, and wear your comfortable sneakers, and wear “SuperHERo” Blue. We'll meet at the MLK parking lot at Best and Fillmore at 7:53 a.m., and the trek with Jesus First will begin at 8:00 a.m.
