Hey ladies. I'm excited about this first walk. Aquatic Gardens is one of my favorite places in the city and it just happens to be in my neighborhood! We'll most likely walk around the park and then take the little bridge along the Anacostia Riverwalk onto the Maryland side. Please note that this can be a popular bridge for bikers and runners. I think it will be around 4.3 miles???!! Not too bad for this first one. There are few wood steps to the overlook but mostly dirt, grass or manmade trails. Maybe some animals along the way. Dress warmly and comfortably. We will meet at the front entrance of the park which is where the parking lot and address is above. There will be lots to see and take in. I want to come back here for more walks as the season change especially if you haven't seen the lilies! Bring some good healthy snacks and fruit to share.
