Harriet Tubman Mural Trek - Cambridge
Harriet Tubman Mural Trek - Cambridge
This year marks the 400th anniversary of the transatlantic slave trade. Come walk with us in Tubman Country as we join the #GrooveCityTrekkers in honor of "A Day of Resilience".

There are two options for the day. You can participate in one or both.

Option 1: Join the GrooveCityTekkers for a Superhero Saturday Walk. We will meet at 6:55 am at the Dorchester Visitor center and start walking at 7:00 am sharp. After our walk, we will eat breakfast together at a local restaurant.

Option 2: Join the GrooveCityTrekkers for the Harriet Tubman Mural Trek. We will meet at the Dorchester Visitors Center and start walking at 11:30 am. We will walk from the Visitor Center to the Circuit courthouse, where Harriet Tubman helped her nieces escape the slave auction block. There will be a drumming ceremony at 12:00 pm. Girltrek will then walk with UN Ambassadors to the Harriet Tubman Mural. Imagine the impact of seeing all of us in our Girltrek shirts walking to the beautiful mural!

After the walk, you may check out other events planned for the day (https://alphagenesiscdc.org/a-day-of-resilience#d408baba-a655-46b4-afe2-83c84444b8d9 ) and visit the Harriet Tubman Underground National Historic Park.

I will attend both options and look forward to spending this day surrounded by my GirlTrek Sisters in Tubman Country!
