Historic Auburn Research Library Trek: Free Advocacy Workshop & Breakfast!
Join us for a Historic Auburn Avenue Research Library Trek & FREE Workshop
GirlTrek Atlanta is so fortunate to have organizations like PED who love the mission of GirlTrek and finds ways to give resources to our community to equip us out in these streets. PEDS is sponsoring a FREE Pedestrian Advocacy Workshop for us!
The morning will include a fun workshop, breakfast, and an actual 30-minute walk audit lead by three of GirlTrek's amazing Neighborhood Captains: Andrea, Althea, and Erica.
As a trekker, you get firsthand experience with the walking conditions in your community. You may notice places that need improvements to make it safer and more pleasant to walk, but may not be sure how or who to engage to advocate for change.
Join us to learn how to be a change agent for pedestrian safety improvements in your neighborhood. We’ll also gear up for the darker months of the year by discussing personal safety while walking and how to keep walking all year round! Grab your GirlTrek Tee and comfortable walking shoes. Bring a new sister or friend with you.
The Historic Auburn Avenue Research Library is a destination that everyone should get a chance to encounter.
Transportation: - Paid parking is available on the street or in a lot near the library (Instructions from library attached) - Georgia State MARTA station (10 minute walk) - Peachtree Center MARTA station (8 minute walk)
URGENT! YOU MUST RSVP here on the GirlTrek site, and You MUST RSVP and get your tickets at the PEDS Eventbrite page by following this TICKET LINK (REQUIRED!)
