Fall Foliage - Meyer Ranch
The aspen are turning in peak colors nearby and this calls for a loop. Head up the 285 for a short trip outside of Denver for one of Jefferson County’s Open Spaces at Meyer’s Ranch. You’ll see an explosive golden stand as you exit the highway which ends up being a short walk from the parking lot to the restroom along the Owl’s Perch Trail. We’ll either do an easy* 2.4-mile loop or a moderate* 3-‘mile loop friending in group consensus. The loops are stacked on each other so we can decide this on the walk. *the ratings are from the park, not my system
This is a dirt trail. We will meet at the trailhead map kiosk near the parking lot at 8:30.
Please try to carpool as the parking lot has limited space. Bring water, layers, a snack, hat, boots, gloves (if it is chilly), trekking poles (if you use them), and a camera for pictures.
You can reach Kia at (303) 579-1641 or email@example.com for further questions.
