Remembrance Trek: A visit to the Civil Rights Room
Remembrance Trek: A visit to the Civil Rights Room
We are kicking off the 2019 Girltrek season during the MLK Weekend by visiting the Civil Rights Room at the Nashville Public Library. As always, we will start with a trek and then head into the Civil Rights Room of the library to have an old-fashioned scavenger hunt of the room. Although there will be prizes for the first 3 finishers, this scavenger hunt will give all of us a chance to really get to explore the stories and information that lie within this room. If you are a new-comer to Nash like me or just haven't been to see this room...please come out and join us in this endeavor! We will meet in the front desk lobby area of the library and head out the front entrance for a short trek and then end back at the entrance to go to the Civil Rights Room. Parking: Library Garage at 151 6th Ave N. Enter Library Garage on Sixth or Seventh Ave. S, between Church St. and Commerce St. Rates - First 90 Minutes (with Validation) Free and then $2 every half hour after the free time.
