She did it for her people - Now let's do it for ours and Mother Harriet with a family hike! We will walk in the footsteps of Harriet Tubman who saved herself then went back for her family, and celebrate the release of the new Harriet movie. Join this hike in celebration of freedom, family and friends at this local trail where we will see an abundance of plants, birds and hopefully some animals or at least their tracks.
We'll meet at 9:30 am on the trail just north of the parking lot and past the Port-A-Potty and walk a few steps north to the gathering circle area for Talk Before the Hike. We will take off by 9:45 am for 1.5 mile hike. The terrain will be gravel and dirt.
Wear your #SuperHeroBlue if you have GirlTrek gear or other blue. Please dress in layers to be comfortable in whatever weather. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring water to stay hydrated and a light snack (fruit, trail mix, nuts, etc.) to keep your energy levels up. If you have any questions or concerns please call or text Taliah at 720-202-8175.
Enjoy this morning hike then continue the Harriet weekend and meet us later at Harkins Theatre Northfield for 4:30 pm showing of the Harriet movie.
