GirlTrek will partner with the Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition at their annual event "A Talk with my Daughters: Spiritual Healing for African American Women" as we honor the birth of the mother of civil rights Rosa Parks during Black History Month. Our hosts will be Monica Moore, Robyn Hill and the Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition, Women of Central. GirlTrek will lead the group march as we join the village Elders Lady Gilmore, Lucky Caswell Harris, Mama Fasi and many other organizations such as National Council of Negro Women Cuyahoga Section, New Voices Cleveland, GirlTrek, Coalition of 100 Black Women, National Congress of Negro Women, Virtue Inc., LEAPS, will guide us as we reflect on our past, challenge our present and take control of our future. African American women will discuss how we can channel our ancestors in order to heal ourselves, our loved ones and our spirit relations to help build a better Northeast Ohio. If you missed the Talk last year you missed an amazing experience. Dress in all black or African attire. Bring pictures of your female ancestors to place on the altar. Invite your daughters, nieces, sisters, and friend to this awesome event.
