NAMIWalks - 5K Walk for Mental Health & Day of Service
** Walk for Mental Health ** 👟
and Day of Service to NAMI Franklin County.
At Girltrek we walk to promote total wellness -- mind, body & soul! Mental Health is a critical part of our total wellness. So each year we support NAMIWalks. We invite you AND YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS to join us in walking this 5K - for an especially meaningful Superhero Saturday! FREE registration at the link below.
🌟Our 2018 walk team was: Tiffany White, Freda Calloway, Stac Harris, Darlene Price & guest Sheena, Renee Smith🌟
***Volunteer to help.***
We need Girltrek Volunteers as well. NAMI's walk manager, J. Averi Frost, has invited us to again give of our time for this event. *Please note that you can volunteer to help with set up, clean up or both. See the invites created in our Facebook Group for these opportunities & to sign up to volunteer.
NAMI offers FREE education & support to persons with mental health challenges and their families. This is their major fundraiser. IF you've got a heart for mental illness & the time and energy - please consider also helping to raise funds for NAMI Franklin County.
This walk is 3.1 miles, 👣 but you can walk any distance you're able to. Or come out to support NAMI and Girltrek. It's a festive event - with music, food, children's activities, and information galore. (Representatives from all mental health stakeholders are usually there. Ex.: ADAMH, Netcare, OSU Harding Hospital, Netcare, Mental Health America, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Dublin Springs, etc.)
The event is open to ALL!
✨Girltrekkers - please wear your gear: tshirts, headbands, buttons, superhero blue tutus, etc.👟
Here's the link if you want to order gear for your family & friends: girltrek.myshopify.com.
**We have found if you register TO WALK using the registration link below - a fundraiser page link will automatically be created with YOUR name. (Fundraising is voluntary. You don't have fundraise to take part in the walk.) Please chose GIRLTREK COLUMBUS as your 'team'.
