Each Spring, thousands of women across the country lace up their sneakers to recommit to healthy living and pay tribute to the road African American women have traveled to get here. Parks are our greatest health resource! Each August, GirlTrek hosts a Summer Trek Series in partnership with the National Park Service to support Healthy Parks, Healthy People. We venture out to breathe fresh air, soak in the sunshine, and improve our health and wellness through outdoor adventures. Fall is a time to reflect on God's grace. We rally church leaders to serve as "Walking Witnesses." They organize teams and teach us all that our bodies are temples! Download the guide to GirlTrek's Prayer Walk. During the Fall, we also engage the entire GirlTrek community in a new walking tradition - a 40-day walk to cultivate gratitude before Thanksgiving Day.
